Silky is very active.

Mummy took Silky to the garden just after she woke up because mummy was sure Silky would want to do wee-wee.  Silky played a bit in the garden but didn’t show any sign of wee-wee so mummy took her back in because it wasn’t a really warm day.  Then she ran to the pad and did wee-wee.  Maybe you should take newspaper with you next time, mummy.

After this, mummy took me to the park.  At first the weather was OK but then it suddenly started snowing.  It got worse very quickly and mummy and I couldn’t see very far.  Mummy tried to walk quickly but I didn’t understand what was going on and sat down.  Mummy came back to me and put the lead on and then I felt secure. After a while snow stopped and then again it started.  When we got home it was white everywhere.

 

 

家の近くまで来る頃には一面真っ白

 

We had lunch-lunch together and played with Silky a bit.  Sometimes it is OK to play with her but sometimes I just get annoyed.  Mummy and daddy tell me to be gentle but when I get irritated I cannot stop myself.  Anyway Silky is very strong so she doesn’t seem to care about my snapping...well I hope she doesn’t.  Still we share our toys and lick each others bowls after every meal.  Also I don’t really mind Silky sleeping in my bed.  I just need more time to get used to this whole Silky environment.

When I was a little puppy girl mummy always carried me and daddy would say “She is not a baby, you know” or “You can only do that when she is a puppy”.  Daddy was silly wasn’t he?  I am a perfect lap dog now.  I even perch on daddy’s shoulder when he is sitting on the sofa to lick his face.  Mummy wants Silky to be a lap dog too and she already started to put Silky on her lap and Silky seems to like it.  But mummy cannot do it all the time because I am the top dog and mummy wants to respect my feeling.

 

 

午後のお昼寝中

 

Today Silky was very active in the afternoon and didn’t have a nap-nap easily.  When mummy put Silky on mummy ‘s lap she was fairly quiet and when mummy put her on the floor she just want to get on mummy’s lap or on the sofa.  But finally Silky fell asleep and I could have a quiet nap-nap.

This morning Silky and I played tug after daddy left home.  When I play tug with mummy or daddy I am quite strong but today I always let Silky win because she is only a baby.  But it wasn’t very fun to be beaten every time so I got reluctant soon but then mummy joined us and I liked it.

When Silky had enough she ran to my bed and jumped in.

I wanted to have a nice nap-nap too but if she was there what could I do?  I didn’t know what to do so I lay down beside my bed.  Mummy told me to join her because it was my bed and I didn’t have to hand up my right to the bed.

So I went in and lay down in the bed.  When mummy was near me I felt OK but once mummy left me I didn’t feel comfortable in the bed with Silky, besides Silky tossed and turned in her sleep.  I love sleeping with mummy and daddy but I am not used to sleeping with Silky am I.  Mummy understood me and she moved Silky to her bed.

 

 

 

It has been raining today so mummy took me around the block for a short walk.  When we got home Silky was half asleep but she got excited soon, so we played again.  This time each of us played with mummy so I think mummy is quite tired now.  When Silky got tired she went to my bed again.  Mummy put me in the bed too but well...I cannot do this yet.  Mummy told me to stay in my bed and took Silky to her crate.  But she came out and now she is sleeping in my second bed downstairs which is under the coffee table.

Silky loves most of my toys.  I showed her my small pink octopus last night and she fell in love with it.  I have a big pink octopus too so I suppose she can have it.

Daddy, please tell mummy to get more toys when she goes to Japan.

Improving

２日目　COCOがシルキーを受け入れ始めた！

Mummy took me and Silky to the garden before my lunch time walk.  At first mummy and I played with the green ball and then when Silky started running I don’t know why but I felt like playing with Silky a little bit and somehow I enjoyed it.

 

 

匂いも嗅いでみたり「シルキー、良い匂いするやん」

When mummy thought that Silky had enough playing she tried to put her in the red bag to take her home, but it looked very difficult.  Silky wriggled a lot and bit mummy’s hair.  Finally mummy put Silky in the bag but soon Silky jumped out...they repeated this for a while and I was observing this, thinking “ I wasn’t like that”. Surly not.  But mummy said I had been as noisy as Silky when I wanted to get attention.  I don’t believe that.

When mummy vacuumed the house she put Silky and me inside the baby gate.  Why me too?  It is quite offensive for me as I am a grown-up doggie.  But later I understood because mummy said she could hear Silky crying when she was vacuuming upstairs.  Mummy wanted me to keep Silky’s company.  I can think about it in future because playing with her was quite OK today.

 

 

 

After my lunch time walkies we had lunch-lunch together.  Silky had a proper meal lunch but mine was a couple of small doggie biscuits so I was watching Silky eating.  Maybe I was staring at Silky so mummy gave me a piece of fish jerky which Silky’s breeder had given to us.  I liked it very much so I took it and ran.  When I was savouring  this fish jerky Silky came to me and took it from me!!  I was just watching it because I couldn’t believe what she had done to me.  But before I felt upset mummy gave me another piece so I didn’t mind. Anyway I use Silky’s puppy bone because it tastes better than mine and Silky doesn’t mind.  Sisters should share things shouldn’t they?

After lunch-lunch I normally had a long sleep before Silky came into my life.  But she is normally full of beans after lunch-lunch so I cannot have a quiet nap-nap anymore.  It is OK if she doesn’t invade my space, but still it is early days for me so if she comes too close to me when I want to have a rest, I couldn’t stop myself from showing my scary face to her. But still we had a lovely nap-nap together.

 

It is Tuesday and I was going to do my tricky Tuesday. I can do “Bang!!” quite perfectly now so mummy and I were thinking about doing this.  But mummy said the moment Silky and I played together in the garden was much more worth showing than doing some trick.

Have I got a baby sister ?

Yesterday I got a little puppy girl in the house.  She is Silky.  I had met her for a few times but I didn’t really know she was coming to my house until yesterday.  Hold on...maybe mummy had explained to me about this while ago didn’t she?  She said something like I would have a baby sister and all that.

I have been mummy’s little baby doggie princess so to be honest it has still been a bit difficult for me to be good friends with her.  I don’t know why, just puppies are not for me.  But I do remember that mummy and I had a little chat and she told me that she would need my help when we had Silky here.  So I have to help mummy don’t I?

 

 

シルク　生後８週１日　初めてのワクチン

 

Mummy and daddy took Silky to the vet this morning and Silky had her first train journey home.  I am not sure about her yet but when she was about to sleep I tried to be friendly and asked her about her first train journey.  She told me it was very exciting seeing all those trains pass and different noises.  I know how she felt because I still remember my first train trip with mummy and daddy.  Mummy and daddy took me to many places by train and by car.

I was quite a pretty little puppy girl so every time mummy and daddy took me somewhere I was surrounded by crowd of people like a super star.(This is me at 9 weeks old)

Yesterday when we got home we had a problem.  The whole house's electricity was gone!!  I was very worried because It was dark, a bit cold and all four of us were sitting in the dark.  We used candles and a torch but it was quite worrying.  Besides there was Silky puppy who I hadn’t got used to being with well enough and mummy and daddy were tense.  Mummy and I really thought that we might not have any electricity until the morning, but daddy called a 24 hours emergency service and the man came and fixed it. He was like a superman.

 

 



COCO　３歳の今



 

When the electric man came mummy put me and Silky inside the baby gate. I was upset because I was a grown-up lady.  I protested and barked.  Then Silky barked too.  It must have been noisy because mummy came to the gate, stood there and shouted at us saying “Listen you two!! We have a serious crisis here.  I know you want to get out but stay there and be quiet!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND!!”  You know what?  She was very scary so I tried to be quiet .  I think Silky was very surprised because she went quiet too.

Silky’s first day here started like this.  It could have been a serious crisis so I think we will remember the day.  I will ask Silky if she remembers what happened the day she arrived here in future.

Outfit for Sunday.

When I was following mummy in the park obediently I felt something.  It was as though a big pack of something was behind my back.  I looked back and there was a man with nine small doggies!  I felt some excitement. What was it?  Yes, my herding instinct made me excited.  I went back and herded all of them including their daddy.  I think I did quite a good job.

And then I met a lady with two shelties.  I’ve met them before when I came to this park with mummy and daddy.  While mummy and the lady were chatting, one of the shelties came to me and...well, I snapped at her.  I know I shouldn’t have but I just did it.  It was quite a shame I did this just after I did good herding job.

 

 

ちょっとした知り合い

 

Mummy told me that we would have a visitor on Sunday.  I decided to dress myself up for the occasion because I want to look pretty when I have a visitor.  I chose this pretty lemon yellow hand-knitted vest and to go with it was my favourite brown tweed hat.  Quite a pretty outfit isn’t it?

But mummy told me I should wear something to make the visitor feel warm and happy.  Hmmm...it is difficult isn’t it?  I thought and thought.  To make someone feel warm and happy what I can wear?

I found this Christmassy outfit.  What do you think?  Do you think our visitor will feel warm and happy?  Anyway, why am I in a box?  This “box” is mummy’s idea, not mine.

 

Let's play catch.

I was bored this morning.  I thought of dressing up but didn’t really feel like it.  I wanted to do something more energetic, you know, something where you could move around. So I asked mummy to play catch.

Since I was a little puppy girl I have always liked catch.  I have three balls and they are all soft and gentle to touch.  If you use hard balls like tennis balls, it hurts doesn’t it?  Especially as my face is quite small so I don’t like those hard balls.

Mummy and I went out around lunch time as usual and I saw Daisy the poodle in the park as usual.  But today her target was not me but mummy.  Phew...

 

 

ねーねー、ローズさん、どうしてデイジーはあんなにワイルドなの？

Mr Rose (Daisy’s daddy) was calling her from far away but she didn’t listen and kept jumping at mummy.  Dear, dear...But when she had enough she went back to her daddy and then mummy and I had a peaceful walk for a while until we came across Daisy again.  Sometimes when Mr Rose whistles, Daisy goes back to him immediately. I don’t know if she is clever or naughty.

Later I had a chance to have a little chat with Mr Rose so I asked him why she was so wild, although her great auntie Rosie had been very gentle and kind to me.  But even Mr Rose said he didn’t know why.

 

 

走る！走る！走る！

 

I ran in the park a lot.  Sometimes I even ran with Daisy to chase squirrels.  She is OK if she doesn’t jump around me and poke my bottom.  Grow up, Daisy.
