Silky's favourite song

Silky and I have quite similar tastes in toys.  This is good but at the same time this could be a bit of a problem.

Recently she always takes my Christmassy handbag shaped toy.  I know we should share all our toys but she always takes it from me.  I quite like it too so I want to play with it don’t I?  But I am a good big sister so this morning I gave up the toy for her and took the small pink octopus instead, but immediately she took it from me.

And then, I took the tug rope to play with mummy but she suddenly appeared and tried to take it from me.  Then we started  usual morning play fighting.

In the evening mummy and daddy took Silky to the vet for her second vaccination.  I asked Silky how it was.  She said that the last time the lady vet gave her sweetie and while she was enjoying it the vet stabbed the needle in her.  But today the man vet didn’t give her anything but just stabbed the needle in her.  Also the worming tablet had a nasty taste and the vet held her head and pushed it into her mouth.  On her way home she felt sick but tried to hold it in, but when mummy noticed that Silky was not feeling well, Silky couldn’t hold anymore and puked...on mummy’s clothes.  Oh dear...

 Anyway Silky has been with us for more than 2 weeks and she had been good at night.  When mummy, daddy and I went upstairs at bedtime, Silky used to go to her bed quietly.  However, the other day, daddy sang for her at night.  She loved it and since then she cries when we go upstairs at night.  Daddy, what have you done?  Maybe you should keep singing until she falls asleep every night.

It seems Silky likes singing and her most favourite song at the moment is “Heigh-ho- Snow white and the seven dwarfs”.  By the way, my favourite song is “Who let the dogs out”.



Silkys first Christmas

We spent the first Christmas with Silky at nanny Joan's and granddaddy Mick’s.  I wore my special Christmas outfit which my mummy and daddy had made for the Sheltie Christmas party.  This outfit is really special because all those star lights and when they light it is very sparkly and pretty.

Silky wore a Christmas outfit too, which I passed on to her from lasy year.  She looks absolutely gorgeous in red doesn’t she?

I also wore the outfits which I had chosen the other day, and I wore this black velvety cape with pompom ribbon too.  This is a very warm cape so it was perfect on the very cold Christmas day to go out.

Silky and I had a loads of pressies didn’t we?  Toys, lead, harness and treats.  Everything is ours but mummy put all the treats in the cupboard where Silky and I cannot reach.  It is not fair is it?

I am not happy about that, but still we got some cool toys too. Especially, the fluffy green and yellow toy which was in Silky’s stocking it is fabulous!! It stretches and shrinks and even makes a squeaky noise!  I love it!!  It seems Silky loves the Christmassy handbag shape toy which was for me.  Anyway we share all our toys so it doesn’t matter does it?

 

 

疲れ果てたシルク

 

After Christmas dinner and everything Silky and I were knackered and fell asleep.  Mummy said Silky and I were sleeping all the way home too.  I wonder why we were so tired?

Today, mummy, daddy, Silky and I all felt a bit lazy and had a lovely relaxing day.  Daddy took us to the park in the afternoon by car and I ran a lot to burn all those calories from Christmas feast.  I must keep eye on my shape mustn’t I?  Silky is lucky because she is still baby. 

Silky also wanted to run but she had to stay in mummy’s arms.  Still she saw a few doggies and people and it seemed she was tired again.

 

 

 

Daddy and Silky are having nap-nap now.  Daddy said he would cook tonight so I am going to help him.  Daddy!! when are you wake up?  Shall I start peeling carrost?

Pink Octopus

We had a few play-fight as usual and it has become our daily habit now.  Most times Silky starts so I have to accept the challenge as her big sister.  This morning, I was in mood for fighting so I challenged her to a play-fight but she wasn’t so keen.  Hmmm...it is a bit selfish of her isn’t it?  I always accept her challenge but she doesn’t, but I cannot force her.  What can I do then???

Silky’s favourite small pink octopus caught my eye.  I picked it up and squeaked it.  Sure enough Silky came to take the octopus and we started.

We have a few rules such as “Do not disturb when one of us wants to drink” , “Do not keep attacking when Silky runs under the table or in the bed” “Just watch and wait when Silky needs pee-pee”, and so on.  Also Silky has her own favourite way of attacking where she goes under the table and aims at me and then dashes at me.   When she does this I wait for her and in the middle of the room we tackle each other.  There are plenty more rules which Silky and I have established and our play-fights have become more professional day by day.

Silky went out with mummy to see the high-street area.  I was waiting for them at home and when they came back I asked Silky how it was.  She said that she had seen traffic, people, doggies and shops and also she felt very the strong north wind.  Silky also said that some people smiled at her.  One strange woman asked mummy if Silky was an Alsatian.  Now Silky is wondering if she is that big.

We had quite a wild play-fight match after lunch-lunch.  Some people might think we hate each other so we decided to have a friendly photo of us taken.  And then we parted to have a nice afternoon nap-nap.  Silky went to her daytime bed as usual and I was going to my own bed.  When I walked towards my bed I passed Silky’s crate.  Hmmm...Why don’t I sleep in there?  It was mine originally and it is quite confortable sleeping in there.

Long time no dressing up

I had a “play fight” with Silky this morning.  It has been getting longer and longer every time and we had been play-fighting for about 30 minutes this time.  We had short breaks now and again but hardly stopped, and to my surprise Silky never got tired.  So I had to get along with Silky as her big sister didn’t I?

After my walkies I asked mummy if I could do some dressing up because I wanted to think what I would wear on Christmas day.  I know mummy and daddy had made me an fabulous Christmas outfit, but I want to change my outfits every few hours don’t I?  That is what young girls do isn’t it?

I looked though my wardrobe but I hadn’t bought new outfits recently so it was a bit difficult.  I tried this and that and in the end I narrowed them to a few outfits.  I will decide which one but hold on...I could wear all of them couldn’t I?  I could even wear something from my old collection.  Daddy will drive us to nanny Joan’s so it will be OK for me to take my pink suitcase amount of outfits won’t it?

Now, I must sort Silky’s outfit out.

Silky is becoming prettier day by day.  She will be quite a looker in no time.  Silky is very good at “Sit” and the way she sits is quite pretty too, just like when I was a little puppy girl.

We are friends again.

It was still all white outside.  Mummy and daddy took me and Silky to the park yesterday and it was our first family outing.  Silky was nice and cosy in her red bag while I had to walk on the cold snowy pavement with mummy and daddy.  Silky was sometimes moaning in the bag but when we got home she went back to the bag and tried to sleep in there.  I wish I was smaller and could fit in the bag too.

Today mummy let Silky and me play in the garden for a little while.  To tell you the truth I told Silky off very badly last night and I was a bit worried if Silky didn’t want to play with me anymore.  Actually, I tried to play with her after breakie but she didn’t want to.  It was not my fault but daddy’s.  Daddy let Silky lick his face in front of me.  It was as if they were ignoring my existence and so I just did it.  Mummy told daddy how to treat “Top dog” which is ME and daddy was sorry for me and Silky both.

Anyway, to my relief in the garden we played a lot.  Silky was not so keen but I guess when we do this “play fight” inside it is warm and the floor is flat, so maybe it is much easier for her to move.  And besides there are much more interesting things outside aren’t there?

After this playing time in the garden mummy was going to take Silky back in the house but she decided to take Silky for a little walk too.  We walked around the area for my toilet and went home.

On the way home I met Mrs Katy the Yorkie.  She greeted me and then noticed Silky in the red bag.  What do you think she said?  She said that Silky looked like a little Meerkat.  Mummy and I looked at Silky.  You know what?  She did look like a Meerkat because she tried to poke her head out but there was a net on top of the bag to prevent Silky to pop out.

 

 

こうやって歩いていたら「ミーアキャットみたいね～」って言われました。

 

Mummy and I understood why daddy fell in love with Silky on the day we went to see her.  Daddy loves meerkat and he wishes he could have them as his pet.

 

When we got home mummy let Silky out of the bag but again she wanted to go back in.  It must be very cosy in there.

It snowed a lot today

朝起きたら一面真っ白。雪の中でシルキーと駆けっこ

When I woke up in the morning everything outside was white. We were going to the park today but daddy said the roads were a bit too dangerous so we went to play in the garden with Silky.

At first Silky was sniffing the ground and then she started bouncing around like a rabbit so I decided to chase here.

It was great fun so we could not stop.

In the end Silky got tired and she should not get too cold should she ?

生まれて初めてのシャンプー　フワフワ良い香りになりました

After we had lunch lunch and a good nap nap Silky had her first bath. She is very fluffy now and smells like summer meadows, I can't stop sniffing her now.
