I was bored this morning while mummy was chatting on the phone so I started looking through my wardrobe. When mummy finished talking I was ready for walkies.
I put my pretty grey jacket and hand knitted woolly hat on. It had been snowing so I thought this outfit was perfect.
But she told me to take them off as usual. She always says I cannot go out like that but why not?
When it rains she always makes me wear that stupid green dragon raincoat. She doesn’t have any dress sense does she? Dear, dear.....

When we went out it wasn’t snowing but it started soon. And then it was getting worse and worse, and windy too. On a day like this, mummy and I wish mummy could drive, but she can'tt. We always have to walk everywhere. I asked mummy if she wanted to go home but mummy said she didn’t, so we carried on. But then it really got worse and we decided to head home.

Still, we had walked for more than 30 minutes so I was OK with that and also mummy promised me to go to the park tomorrow even though the weather forecast at lunch time said it would only be –1 degrees tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. I love walking in the cold winter park a lot. Oh...but my groomed hair will get messy won’t it.

Because it is so cold mummy told me to be a good girl and close the door behind me to keep the room warm.
Mummy and daddy took me to the hairdresser (dog grooming) today. Mummy booked for me about a month ago and now they are fully booked in December. Everyone has to look nice before the Christmas don’t they? As for me, I am attending Sheltie Christmas party and wanted to be my best look for the occasion. I might meet my Mr right mightn’t I?

The groomers started combing me. And look at that ball of fur!!! I was scared because hair came out endlessly and I thought I might be bald.

Then, now it was a bath time. It was quite relaxing and I felt like singing.

After the shampoo, this was the main event, hair cutting. I asked her to do me the Paris Hilton look and she said she would try. I believed her because she is quite a good groomer and she knows my favouite style.

I had nail cuttting, trimming in-between pad hair and everything, and now I look like a brand new Sheltie.
I went to the park and met Daisy the poodle. I didn’t like her wild movements so I refused to move and sat down. Mummy called me but I tried to be stubborn. To my surprise, mummy and Mr.Rose (Daisy's daddy) kept walking, leaving me behind.

I had to follow them didn’t I? But I sat down again. Mummy and Mr. Rose called me but I didn’t want to move. Then what do you think happened?
Daisy ran towards me and told me to move!! I felt so insulted (look at my face) because I am older than Daisy and shouldn’t be told what to do by her!!

After this incident I decided to teach her proper doggie behaviour. I am the one who should be teaching her, not the other way round!!
Mummy took me out around lunch time. When we were walking towards the park I saw a man with lots of gold and a beard, it was Hairy D. We had a chat for a few minutes and he went home to have his lunch-lunch. Mummy said she was starving and wanted to take a bit of short-cut. But I said I wanted to walk through the park to do a bit of free walking and mummy said OK. Mummy is good isn’t she?

I didn’t see many doggies in the park. Don’t doggies walk in winter? How strange. I stopped for a while and looked at mummy walking off. Mummy looked back and she understood what I wanted to do. We looked at each other for a few second and then suddenly mummy crouched down. This is the cue for me to dash towards mummy. Since I was a little puppy girl I always like this game. But I shouldn’t run too much yet so we did this game only once today.
走る、走る、走る！！
After walkies we both were fairly tired. We had walked for nearly 2 hours. Mummy doesn’t drive so we always have to walk. It is not that bad because I feel tired but also feel happy and contented after a long walk. And also on our way home mummy always says “We’ll have our lunch-lunch when we get home, and then Coco, you’ll have a good nap-nap”. I like that.

Mummy told me that daddy had been to the dentist to get his tooth pulled out. I think it must be painful and daddy would like something easy to eat for din-dins so I decided to cook soup for him. I put my hair net and doggie apron on before I started.
Which vegetables shall I use? Well, daddy likes butternut squash so that would be good. Also I can use carrot, potato, onion and of course my secret ingredients doggie food.

Finally, mummy took me to the park today!! I hadn’t been there for more than 2 weeks so it looked very different and trees were bald. I saw a squirrel and started running but something stopped me. Yes, I was on the lead.
Mummy let me go when we passed the squirrel area and I met Baily the Tibetan Terrier. When he was a puppy I always had to tell him off because he was too much for me. But now he is a grown-up doggie and we are good, and Baily’s daddy and my mummy are very happy about it. Baily is a pretty white doggie and I asked mummy to take photo of us. Mummy said “Cheese!” but nothing happened. Silly mummy forgot to put the memory card in the camera. So this is the photo of Baily and me from my album. He is fluffy and pretty isn’t he?

I was disappointed because I couldn’t take any photos in the park today. I was looking forward to this walk & modeling opertunity. How could she do that to me. I didn’t blame her, of course, because I am a good girl and everyone can make mistakes can’t they?
But I am not cross with mummy anymore because mummy allowed me to do my favourite thing after my lunch-lunch. What do you think it is? It is dressing up, of course!

Mummy told me to pick just one costume because I should have a good rest after a long walk today. So I thought about a theme such as what I want to do or try this winter.
Let me see...winter, cold, snow, hat...how about skiing?
Uncle Y is a good skier so he can teach me can’t he? I heard that he had named his family dog “Hess” which was from some skier’s name. So I suppose he might want to teach a doggie how to ski. And you know what? Mummy said that actually he had wanted to train Hess using children’s mini-ski. I should send a photo of me to uncle Y and he might invite me on some ski trip.
I chose a pink down jacket which would be perfect for snowy mountains and to go with that a pink hat with fluffy pompom. Hmmm...I need a pair of gloves and ski goggles.
Daddy, can you take me shopping next weekend? There are a few nice sports shops in town.

Yawn.....I am tired now so I am going to sleep. Have a good afternoon, daddy.
I went for longer walkies today so I was satisfied. After walkies we went in the garden to pick some Rosemary. Suddenly mummy started to replant the tulip bulbs from a pot to the flower bed so I had to wait. Boring, boring...Hmmm? What is in the pot? It is moving. Let’s poke it. Mummy was surprised when she saw me poking the soil in the pot with my nose. She stopped me and explained it was an earth worm. Strange creature isn’t it?

Anyway, I should explain about my vet visit on Saturday, shouldn’t I?
The nice lady vet examined my leg. She stretched and folded my leg very gently and carefully. Her touch was so nice and comfortable that I could hardly open my eyes. She said my leg was OK now but still I should walk on the lead another 7 days and then I can gradually start running in the park. Yeah!!!! I can not wait!!
The lady vet was very gentle and kind but this time she didn't give me any tiny round sweeties because I didn’t need them anymore.
動物病院で脚のチェック
After visiting the vet , I met a puppy. Was it a sheltie? I saw Katy the sheltie puppy in the park a while ago. She was too lively and I didn’t like her attitude very much. Mummy and daddy said this one was also a puppy but she was smaller than Katy, but still I was a bit shy. Also there were many doggies there which looked like me and I didn’t know what to do. They were all gentle and friendly but I am not used to playing with many doggies, you see. I thought I might say hello to the little puppy but it was time for us to leave because mummy had to cook something for the party next day.
Will I meet the puppy and others again, daddy? I might try a harder bit next time.
On Sunday, we went to nanny Joan’s birthday party. There were about 40 people and mummy and daddy took me in the hall. I knew many of nanny Joan’s family and friends so I said hello to everyone. It was very exciting to see all those people at one time!! I didn’t need mummy and daddy’s protection there. I just wandered around and greeted everyone. Mummy and daddy said they didn’t understand why I was so happy to see many people, though I was shy and hiding when I met many shelties the day before.
When the party ended some people came to me to say good-bye. Mummy said she was very happy to see that because she could see many people really loved me.

I am not very good with doggies and I don’t know why. For me human beings are something different. I just love them. Most of the time I become friends with other doggies after a while. I think I am quite a shy doggie and need more time than average. But hey, If you meet stranger who is too friendly from start wouldn’t you feel a bit worried or even scared?
Also, I cannot be friends with some doggies. But I think this is the same thing for humans too. You have some unfavourite types of people don’t you, mummy and daddy?
I'm a bit tired today becuase of my shopping trip yesterday & my trip to the vet this morning, I'll let you all know about that in my next posting. In the meantime you can watch this video.

I'm going on a shopping spree to London today. What shall I wear? I looked in my wardrobe and chose a few outfits and did a fashion show for mummy so I could decide what to wear.

First of all is this pink mohair knitted dress with pearl & ribbon detailing and set it off with a hand knitted pink wool hat.
次はマミーの手編みのレモンイエローのショールにツイードの帽子
After that is my georgous lemon yellow shawl that mummy knitted for me. This time I accessorised it with a brown tweed hat.

Next is a lovely red cashmere tartan scarf that I paired with a flat cap.

I think this outfit is perfect for my shopping spree. I’m off to Bond street. Maybe I will pop in Selfridges and if I have time I’ll have a look around Harrods too.
At lunch time mummy took me out but we walked a bit of a different way today for a change. Because of this grey, damp, cold and wet weather, we were both miserable and didn’t talk a lot. I just occasionally looked up at mummy to see if mummy was OK

Suddenly mummy said “Coco Look ! Your favourite Postman's bike is over there!!” Oh yes! Where is he, where is he?
I couldn’t find him easily but then I heard him saying “Hello, how are you doing?” in his usual husky voice. I hadn’t seen him for quite a while so I talked about my recent walkies and things but I wasn’t sure if he was listening to me because he was wearing his earphones as usual.

Mummy told me about daddy’s tooth because he went to the dentist today. It seems he will be OK but daddy also has a knee problem too. Dear, dear...
Daddy needs proper nursing doesn’t he? Can mummy do that? Yeah...maybe. But I’m sure I will do a better job than mummy. I have even got my nursing uniform too. It looks quite a traditional one but I think daddy would like it. And also I know how to make him feel better. The best thing is licking all over his face. I am quite skilled at it now so I am sure daddy will feel as good as new after my licking therapy.

Mummy went out this morning. When mummy locked the door from outside she peeped in the letter box and told me to look after the house as usual.
I am a big girl now so I can do it but it’s not so fun anymore because when I was a little puppy girl I did this naughty thing and mummy and daddy put the cage on the door. Why don’t they understand? Tearing paper into pieces is fun, exciting and even therapeutic. Try it, mummy and daddy!!
Anyway, mummy is out. So what shall I do?
Well, I can play with the photo tricks a bit can’t I? The Japanese gentleman also told me about a similar website so I can try that as well.
But first of all, what I desperately wanted to do was this!!
Tah-dah!! Me doing the cover of VOGUE!! Look at that!! I feel I am a top model.
So what else can I do? Oh, what about this? Yesterday, Posh Beckham liked the photo of me, and today Paris Hilton likes a magazine which has me on the cover.
Hmmm...I wish these things would really happen to me one day.
My photo is in a huge gallery, my photo is on an advertising board in the station and even Posh Beckham likes my photo!!

I wore my pink fluffy hat and a pinky orange scarf ready for my lunch time walkies. When mummy came back from shopping I was all ready for walkies but mummy said I couldn’t go out like that.
I was upset. Mummy never allows me to go out in my outfits. I only can wear my red rucksack or green dragon raincoat outside. It’s not fair.
When I was going to take the hat and the scarf off, mummy told me to come to the computer. And WOOOF!! I got a comment in Japanese for the first time!! (I'm bilingual by the way because my human mummy is Japanese) I was waiting for this!!
And the Japanese gentleman told me about these photo tricks. I asked mummy to take a photo of me in the hat and the scarf and then we started to try the photo tricks together.
This is such a fun!! I could not stop playing. Mummy was very excited too. There are so many patterns so maybe I will try them all!!
This networking thing is very useful and good isn’t it? You can get to know many interesting things and have many doggie friends all over the world.
Mummy told me that daddy had made an appointment for the dentist. It is good thing to do, daddy. I wonder why daddy behaves like a little puppy when he always tells me to be brave when I go to the vets.
After today’s obedience training session, we spent a bit of time in the garden. I didn’t really understand but mummy was all excited about new shoots coming out. Mummy explained about tulips and all that but they all looked like short thick weeds to me.
I thought doing something to show I was interested in gardening would make mummy happy so I took a bite out of the pansies and mummy said “Coco, NO!!” What did I do wrong?
Anyway, when I am in the garden I prefer to look at the birds and smell the lovely fresh air.
I walked with mummy around the block and when we were walking towards our house I saw a lady in a red coat. The read coat!! And that beautiful grey hair!! And and that brisk walk!!
Yes! It was my beloved "Lady I".
I wanted to see her. I really missed her. About 2 weeks ago I saw her in the park and I expressed my joy with my whole body and I hurt my leg again. But today I was on the lead so I couldn’t be that wild.
Do you know? She is very gentle and ohhhh, I don’t know how I should put this...hmmm, I just love her. I felt as if I was melting.
I cuddled her, kissed her, poked my head in her bag and everything. "Lady I" was laughing and said I was funny but I was deadly serious. I love her!! I didn’t want to let her go but "Lady I" had to go so I saw her off. She promised to see me soon and also said one day she would look after me for a day. I would love that. A whole day with my beloved "Lady I". LOVELY!!
I have been fed up with this short walk lark but today was not all bad, was it?
I am really fed up with this short walk just around the block every day. My legs are much better now aren’t they? I want to go hiking. I want to go somewhere natural!! Somewhere I can run about!!
Anyway, what will tomorrow’s weather be like? Let’s have a look on the computer....
Woooof!! It will be sunny tomorrow! I have to persuade mummy and daddy. What should I do? Well, maybe If I am all set for the hiking they will say OK won’t they?
First of all, I need my red rucksack to put my things in. You should carry your things by yourself shouldn’t you?
And then, maybe I need my stripy scarf to keep myself warm.
What else???
Oh, I need a hat. You should wear a hat when you go hiking shouldn’t you? Especially it is cold now so it is important. I have loads of hats. Which one should I wear...Hmmm...nothing good for hiking in winter. Hold on!! Mummy had a hat which is for Japanese nanny Masae.
Mummy got it as a gift for nanny to wear when she goes mountains so it must be suitable.
Do you think nanny Masae would notice if I use this tomorrow? She wouldn’t know would she? Even if she finds out she wouldn’t mind because she loves me...would she?
The post man ding-donged the doorbell and he had a big envelope for me. It was addressed to daddy and ME! Yes, it was from 4 leggedlondon.com!! It was that doggie bag of swag which they promised me for winning their photo competition!!
Oooh....Look!! Three bags of various sweeties, a toy and this is the one I love, which is something called “Dog chew”. It is gorgeous!! The colour, the shape, the texture and the smell...I decided this was my family treasure.
I had to keep it somewhere safe. The annoying thing was that mummy was filming for fun when I was hiding it in my bed. If daddy puts the video on Youtube everyone will know about my treasure.
It cannot happen. I must protect my family treasure. So when mummy was not watching me I secretly took it somewhere else, somewhere mummy and daddy are never going to find out. Do you want to know where, If you promise me not to tell anyone I might tell you the hiding place.
I decided to cook vegetable soup for Daddy because he has man flu. Mummy told me to wear this hairnet to keep my hair tidy. Sweet potato, leek, mushrooms, etc...and yes! I mustn't forget this. A few pieces of doggie food always makes you feel better.

into our letterbox by mistake. I'm sorry mummy I won't do it again,
well maybe not.
Daddys new photo frame was delivered today in a big box, he is going to put a big photo of me in the photo frame and hang it on the wall.
Mummy put me on top of the box at first, she just wanted to have some fun didn't she?
But then she put me in the box and I was scared. I thought she would send me somewhere.
Mummy gave me a sweetie after. She thinks sweeties make everything OK. I am upset, I am going to ask daddy to tell her not to do such a cruel thing ever again.
It is dull and dark isn’t it? I have been inside almost all day. How boring....I might get depression.
When mummy took me to the green patch it started raining a little. It wasn’t proper rain for which I should wear my green dragon raincoat. If I had a hoodie jacket to cover my hair it would be convenient.
Yes!! Why ...don’t I dress myself up to cheer myself up? Hoodie, hoodie, hoodie...I’m sure I have a hoodie in my wardrobe.
Oh, here it is. Hmmm...it is OK but it will be cold and wet soon so I should get warm hoodie coat with fluffy fake fur around it.
