In the park we saw Peter, his wife and their doggies near the car park so we walked towards them. Peter is a dog trainer and they keep Shelties and Border Collies so it is always nice to speak to him and his wife.
When Peter, his wife and mummy started talking, his doggies came to see me and I snapped at them. Peter saw it and then his lesson started. He is really good, daddy. I felt I had to listen to him. But training isn’t that easy is it? So after a while when his doggie came to me again I snapped at him and of course Peter saw me snapping again. He told me to stop it and I snapped at him...silly me. He held me and explained things to mummy, and at the same time he told me not to be like that. I felt as though I was hypnotized. He was like a magician.
Anyway, mummy got some good ideas and after the lesson mummy tried what Peter had said. Daddy, it was wonderful. I felt I had to listen to mummy and I thought being a good girl was a clever thing, and it made me feel like a proper grown up doggie. Mummy tried what Peter had said when we went out of the park gate for Silky not to bark. It worked for Silky too, not perfectly of course but it will make a difference if mummy keeps trying.
The lesson was amazing!! Today’s walkies were very productive.
However, not a very good thing happed as well. In the squirrel area Silky ran for a bird and then she ran to the small hole in the ground. Mummy ran to her because she might have eaten some nuts the other day. When mummy reached where Silky was she saw something which looked like pieces of cooked beef. Silky ate some. Why do people leave such food there?
Also while mummy and I were having the lesson Silky was chatting with Peter’s doggis and then his wife said “She is eating something...” Mummy tried to catch her but it is difficult when dogs don’t want to be caught. Mummy lured her with a treat and she came but by that time she had eaten “something”. Dear, dear...
It seemed that Silky was very tired when we were heading toward the small gate of the park. She sat down and then lay down on the grass and also she was very slow on our way home. When we got inside she was sitting while mummy took her harness off. Mummy was worried a bit because she is normally very active after walkies. However, the moment mummy said “Lunch lunch” Silky became very active and finished her lunch lunch as quickly as usual.
Now she is sleeping on her Silky area upstairs.
Mummy took a few photo using “Burst”mode so we could make make animation photos for the blog.
